International Congress On Mood Disorders

Dear colleagues and friends,
We are all united by a common purpose: to better understand and address the complexities of mood disorders. These challenges remain at the forefront of mental health care, affecting countless lives across the globe. As clinicians, researchers, and advocates, our collective efforts are more essential than ever. Through shared knowledge and international collaboration, we can continue to make meaningful strides in improving the lives of those we serve.

Following the outstanding success of ICOM25 in Zagreb, one of the true highlights was the joint participation of major international research consortia—ConLiGen, GAGE-BD, the Global Bipolar Cohort, and ENIGMA. Their landmark gathering created a unique forum for brainstorming, laying the very first seeds of future scientific projects that will enrich the field and shape its research agenda for years to come.

We are now delighted to invite you to join us for ICOM26, which will be held from April 30 to May 2, 2026, in the beautiful capital of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Known for its historic old town, vibrant cultural scene, and scenic riverside promenades, Ljubljana offers the perfect backdrop for intellectual exchange, collaboration, and inspiration.

Building on the scientific achievements and synergies generated in Zagreb, ICOM26 will take a step further by focusing more strongly on clinical practice. While the congress will continue to showcase state-of-the-art findings in genetics, neurobiology, and psychosocial research, this edition will devote a greater part of the program to clinically relevant sessions, bridging research discoveries with real-world psychiatric care. Through case-based discussions and innovative therapeutic approaches, we aim to make science directly applicable to daily clinical work.

As always, distinguished speakers from across the world will share their expertise, sparking interdisciplinary dialogue and promoting collaboration that transcends borders.

We would be honored to welcome you to Ljubljana for ICOM26, where together we will continue the journey that began in Zagreb—learning, sharing, and shaping the future of psychiatry. Your presence will greatly enrich the discussions and contribute to the ongoing success of this growing community.

We look forward to seeing you in Slovenia for what promises to be an inspiring and clinically impactful event.
