Assist Prof Živković is a specialist in psychiatry and a subspecialist in biological psychiatry working at the Psychiatry Clinic of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Croatia. She received her PhD in 2013 from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine for work on the role of pharmacogenetics in schizophrenic patients, particularly how genetic factors influence the occurrence of acute extrapyramidal side effects and the treatment response to antipsychotic medications. She currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine, University of Zagreb School of Medicine. 

She also teaches at various undergraduate and postgraduate study programs at the University oh Zagreb School of Medicine. Her special area of scientific and clinical interest is psychopharmacology of affective and psychotic disorders, as well as pharmacogenetics of schizophrenia and depression.

Assist Prof Živković has authored and co-authored numerous scintific and professional articles, as well university textbooks and manuals and acts as a reviewer for both domestic and international journals.
