Rukiye Tekdemir, MD, completed her psychiatry residency at Selçuk University Department of Psychiatry and fulfilled her mandatory service at Ankara Atatürk Sanatorium Training and Research Hospital from 2021-2023. Since 2023, she has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Selçuk University and concurrently as the Director of the Mazhar Osman Mood Disorders Center. In 2024, she was a visiting academic at the University of Edinburgh for two months under the supervision of Professor Daniel Smith. Her research and clinical focus is primarily on bipolar disorder, with current research centered on the interplay between sleep, circadian rhythms, and bipolar disorder.
